Biofabri is supported by CDTI to carry out R&D projects that fund research related to COVID-19. Our company, in collaboration with CSIC, has carried out a project in the field of human vaccines called: “DESARROLLO DE UNA VACUNA DE ADN FRENTE AL CORONAVIRUS SARS-COV-2”.

This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), a way of making Europe. The main objective of this project is the design and development of an effective and safe third generation vaccine (recombinant DNA) against SARS-CoV-2 containing the genes encoding the subunits of the SARS-CoV-2 spicule protein (protein S) and essential fragments of the same. This project was carried out at the company’s headquarters in O Porriño, Galicia. Its execution schedule was between June and December 2020. The project budget was 608,026 € and was supported by CDTI and ERDF funds.
